Friends of St Mark's

Friends of St Mark's

Most schools have a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) which is an organisation of parents and staff. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school.
Here at St Mark's, we have Friends of St Mark's which we hope will be made up of teachers, parents, carers and members of the local community.

PTAs are best known for their fund raising work, but they have a useful social function too. Fund raising events provide a great opportunity for parents, staff and pupils to get together!

PTA funds help provide the very best facilities for our children as part of the team you can play a part in deciding how and what we deliver to enhance the learning experience at St Mark's!

We Need You!

We are looking for enthusiastic parents who can spare a couple of hours per term to help organise PTA events. As well as an army of helping hands (who will not be required to make huge commitments of time), we need to find candidates for the following roles which are a little more involved but will be key in driving the PTA and the school as a whole forward: a chair, a vice-chair, a treasurer and a secretary

Average time commitment for (non-committee) member:
One General meeting per month (approx 1 hrs)
One fund raising event per half term (approx 3-4 hrs)

We are also always very grateful for volunteers who can help at events on an ad hoc basis!

To register your interest in joining the PTA, please speak to our Ms Jacobs.

We can’t wait to hear from you!!
